About paracetamol / acetaminophen toxicity in dogs
Cats lack the liver enzyme (glucuronyl transferase) needed to metabolise paracetamol — even one tablet can be fatal. Dogs are more tolerant but hepatotoxicity begins around 100 mg/kg.
